Hi there! I’m Sarah, an enthusiastic early childhood educator with a mission to make learning joyful, active, and meaningful for preschoolers. For over a decade, I’ve dedicated my career to creating engaging, hands-on activities that spark curiosity, foster creativity, and keep little ones moving. Whether it’s transforming a living room into a sensory scavenger hunt or turning math lessons into hopscotch adventures, I believe learning thrives when it’s playful and rooted in real-world experiences.
Professional Background & Qualifications
My journey in early childhood education began with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Washington (2012), where I graduated magna cum laude. Since then, I’ve honed my expertise through roles as a lead preschool teacher at Bright Horizons Learning Center and a curriculum developer for a nationally recognized Montessori-inspired program.

From Hobby to Passion: The Blogging Journey
What started as a creative outlet in 2018—sharing simple activity ideas for busy parents—has blossomed into a thriving community of over 75,000 educators and caregivers! My blog, Playful Little Learners, combines my love for teaching with my knack for designing low-prep, high-impact activities. Over the years, it’s been featured in publications like Early Childhood Today Magazine and highlighted as a “Top 10 Preschool Resource Blog” by Parenting Hub (2023).
Why I Do What I Do
Children learn best when their minds and bodies are engaged. That’s why my resources emphasize movement-based learning—think alphabet yoga poses, nature science walks, or counting games with dance breaks. When I’m not brainstorming new activities, you’ll find me hiking with my golden retriever, Max, or experimenting with messy (but fabulous!) art projects in my Seattle kitchen.
